Royal Albert Hall

The Royal Albert Hall is one of London’s most distinctive buildings and is known for being a venue which has had many of the world’s leading artists perform there throughout the years. It was opened in 1871 by Queen Victoria and was named ‘Royal Albert Hall by Queen Victoria in memory of her late husband Prince Albert who passed away 6 years before the hall opened. The Royal Albert Hall has a capacity of 5,272 seats and each year the main auditorium hosts over 300 shows including music concerts, film screenings, live orchestras, award ceremonies and charity events.
